Cultural Day

The Year 0/1 students had such an amazing Cultural Day. We started the day off celebrating cultural diversity by hosting a parade in the Junior School. We learnt about what clothes and music are special to our families. Look at our delightful shared lunch, there was so much food that we had to have two lunches that day!

Our visit to Auckland Museum

We visited the Auckland Museum as part of our Inquiry about People and Cultures. We made an 'Ei, which is a Cook Island Maori garland worn around the neck. We used paper straws and flower petals. After this, our Instructor played music on a ukelele and we danced together.

In the Life Education Van, we learned about warm and cold feelings.
Also, we got to meet Harold the Giraffe! I love giraffes!
